Capt. Matt Tawes

Capt. Matt is a native of Crisfield, MD where he has lived and fished all of his life. He has been licensed by the U.S.C.G. as a Capt. and has guided throughout the Chesapeake and other areas including VA (CBBT) and NC (Harker's Island) since 1998.

Your Captain is fully insured for the protection of his passengers and is a full time licensed fishing guide.

Boat & Equipment

The boat used for all charters is a custom rigged 2003 21' Parker center console. Parker boats have become a favorite among recreational boaters and professional guides throughout the Chesapeake Bay and the East Coast. With their famous "Carolina" Flare and  exceptionally smooth/dry ride coupled with a shallow draft and 8' 6" beam they provide a terrific and stable fishing platform for both light tackle and fly anglers alike.  Proudly promoting Parker Boats & Tristate Marine.

We only use top of the line equipment: Spinning & Fly rods are by St. Croix, spinning reels by Shimano, fly reels by Tibor & Pate as well as St. Croix. All equipment, lures & flies are furnished for your use free of charge or you're welcome to bring your own favorites.
